Research Platform

Do you want to work with us on small-scale drinking water and wastewater solutions or on local water management?

The goal of the research platform at the Water Center for Innovation, Campus Roslagen AB, Norrtälje Municipality is to contribute to research and education for decentralised systems for drinking water and wastewater, as well as local water management, in cooperation with universities and other institutes providing 3rd-level education. By offering research, education and network opportunities, UCV aims to contribute to solving Norrtälje Municipality’s water challenges, strengthen its capability in research and education and spread knowledge in the region on local, national and international challenges in the water sector. Research Projects

We can:

participate in research projects; contribute to writing project applications; help with networking; find suitable study sites for projects; and, suggest undergraduate/graduate research projects and provide office space and supervision. For projects longer than 3 months, we can also provide student accommodation.

Education

We can:

give lectures or contribute to course exercises; organise presentations and visits to our workplace, including the product exhibition of small-scale drinking water and wastewater technology; provide lecture theatres with up to 250 places; and, organise field visits to small-scale drinking water and wastewater systems.

Networking

We can:

help researchers get in contact with the public, associations, public actors, businesses, entrepreneurs, branch organisations and other academic organisations; organise meetings and workshops; disseminate research results; and, advertise research documents in a research database for distribution within our network.

Laboratory

We can:

carry out normal analyses of drinking water and wastewater parameters; organise laboratory visits and exercises for educational purposes; and, hire out the laboratory for research projects.

Testbed for drinking water and Testbed for wastewater

We have a Testbed for drinking water filter technology and a Testbed for infiltration systems for wastewater is in the planning stage.

The Testbed for drinking water is for product development, research and certification. The Testbed for wastewate focusses on infiltration systems and is intended for product development and research.

Hourly costs: 750 kr/hour. For other costs, please contact us. Confidentiality clauses can be prepared, e.g. for research projects and product development.
